ADHD Coach in London « Thread Started on Sept 24, 2009, 1:51pm »
Hi,
My name is Andrew Lewis and I am an Adult ADD/ADHD Coach, practicing in West London. I hold client coaching sessions in person, on the phone or in combination. Coaching on the phone works remarkably well, most coaching is done this way in America. I have successully coached clients from London, to Scotland and Switzerland. I trained with the ADD Coach Academy, in New York, which is the largest trainer of ADD coaches in the USA and hence Worldwide. The training is extensive, over a year long and is specifically on coaching Adults with ADHD. See: http://www.simplywellbeing.com/add-coaching-adhd-coaching
Prior to becoming a coach I worked in IT for over twenty years. In classic ADD style I moved through many companies and roles from programmer, marketing specialist, sales, management and finally to being a successful Entrepreneur running/owning small IT businesses. My undiagnosed ADD caused me problems at work, from minor (being late to customer meetings, even when I was an MD!) - to moving jobs from issues with organisation, procrastination and planning. At home I had my fair share of problems too, I have suffered the "dark-side" (co-morbidities) of ADD too.
After my diagnosis of ADHD, I have made many significant changes to my wellbeing, from diet, supplementation, lifestyle, career and outlook to living a much happier and fulfilled life, aligned with my ADHD stengths. I am also father to an inattentive ADD daughter so have worked hard in helping her avoid many of the struggles I experienced.
I am a firm believer that ADD brings positive traits as well as negative ones. My coaching philosophy it to help clients Understand their ADD, to Accept their ADD differences (to work with and around them) and to Embrace their ADD strengths. I try to help clients align their lives around their true selves and beliefs and to focus on what truly makes them happy. I share my understanding of how Positive Psychology, NLP, healthy diet, sleep, supplements and exercise can help manage symptoms and improve wellbeing too.
