I need a better alarm clock, one that can be configured in every way possible, volume, ringtone, number of reminders and time between reoccurrences.
At the moment i have one ring tone that can mean everything from start rushing to leave the house to if you haven't left the house yet you'd better start running to job blah at work needs done within the next 10 minutes. All with the same tone.
It's also not enough. 10 minutes is easily long enough to silence the alarm and then completely forget about it. I've also been handed some tasks that need done every three weeks, that's an odd length of time between reoccurancies.
This alarm clock can have reminders a preset number of hours beforehand but 6 hours before is no use if that's 3am
I have a desk diary, but i struggle to maintain it, to rely on it is an accident waiting to happen.
For work, i could use outlook for some of that but i've seen people with 20 popup reminders each morning, from a prioritisation point of view thats also a non starter as well as the pressure/morale disaster as get bombarded with a list of tasks all needing done now!
So I'm thinking Pavlov's dog etc, a different kind of sound for do it now jobs from do it soon jobs, infinitely configurable snooze eg some alarms get a 1 min snooze, others a 10 minute. Increasing volume of course each time.
All this easyish to set up, dont mind complexity but too chore-ish and setting it up will get put off...
I only found it after you posted but I love it already.
Hi, I also found something recently that links all your different apps together. It think it is called IF THIS THEN THAT ifttt.com (eg Evernote Google Calender, Google Drive, Google Mail, Twitter, FB Pockets and various To do Lists etc etc etc) I am trying to use it to organise all the things I forget and set reminders via my Android phone.
