Hello, I'm struggling with my body while taking this medication. It was first prescribed around ten weeks back, ramping up dosage to 36mg now. I've always had digestion issues, the root problem has not been pinpointed, however I'm also prescribed Buscopan (10mg 3xdaily) for bowel cramping and take two Senna every single night (in a vain attempt to keep things moving). My symptoms have recently worsened, I have pain in what I presume is my kidneys and the area housing my liver, heart pain (stabbing), general joint ache, nerve pain (akin to sciatica, but along the entire nerve) and a flu-like tingling and weakness (without any fever, though I do feel cold a lot).
I'm wondering if there is something missing from my diet that could remedy the processing of this medication. I'd like to continue treatment (I was denied medication by my mother as a boy and have lived with it until age 32, now), but feel physically awful :-( My present diet consists of fresh home cooked Thai food (Geng Garee, Massaman, Tom Kha Gai etc), this (AFAIK) contains all the vitamins etc from the variety of vegetables in use, Coconut oil and milk, which I've found to be beneficial to my gut. It usually includes rice. I struggle to have breakfast, usually relying on coffee (fresh ground every day). I'd guess part of my problem is the amount of food I eat. This is unavoidable at the moment, I'm a trans-woman before any hormonal help or otherwise, so I build masculine muscle easily from more intake (an effect I'm avoiding for obvious reasons). Feel a bit stuck on this one, any ideas are appreciated. Luci Lestrange x
