Hi,
I am struggling to find my usual tranquilyn meds in the UK anymore - does anyone here still use it? Is it still available anywhere?
Thanks

I used to use it but after I got something like on herpes nose pic illnessee.com/herpes-on-nose-pictures/ and after that I changed my medicine. It took a while to take it off so I don't want tot get it back. Do you have something like that? I heard some weird reactions from this one.

You dont get herpes from ADHD drugs. Its a human contact illness.
So, no, I didnt develop herpes after using tranquilyn.

Hi, I am struggling to find my usual tranquilyn meds in the UK anymore - does anyone here still use it? Is it still available anywhere? Thanks I'm a 51 year old . I was started on Ritalin 5 years ago but got Hyperthyroidism ( Toxic Storm) and was taken off it and put on 600mg Pregabalin. Last year I moved home and had to register with a different doctor. My Thyroid levels have been ok for over a year now and it has taken all this time to finally get this GP to administer medication even though the psychologist has said I need to be back on Ritalin. Last week I got my first prescription and it is TRANQUILYN. The biggest difference I noticed was that with Tranquilyn I have no loss of appetite

I'm 53 and get Methylphenidate rx from my GP. Sometimes the brand name is Tranquilyn. I have seen no diff but then again I've not been given brand name Ritalin for a long time. I don't see any difference between "tranquilyn" and generic Methylphenidate. I too have NO problem with my appetite. In fact I've often very hungry and over eat.
FYI the above is not what was Rx to me by my last P doc (in USA). I'm not satisfied with current gp and am hoping to get another who may show more interest. Good luck me. Lol.
PS re OP I am in north London and the chemist gives me Tranqulyn "branded" methylphenidate about half the time so yes it is available.
