I used to have chronic racing thoughts, like a thousand radio stations. Not always negative, just thoughts/nose in my head, they would stop me from concentrating etc, and tbh would drive me crazy.
Since starting Concerta, I have noticed that they are now replaced with songs...
Im sat here now with Oasis Don't look back in anger playing in my head. It is a lot better than the racing thoughts, just wondering if anyone else has noticed something similar?
I have also noticed I can stop the music much easier now and snap back to it, whereas before hand it was a lost cause.

I've always been the same. getting stuck on a a set of negative thoughts when you're low is a bit of a nightmare. But not always negative. just constant. keeps you up at night. Daydreams, fantasies, imagining arguments and things you should have said or want to say or imaging you're on x factor and then what you're having for tea and then i wonder what time it is because i don't have a clue right now and i'm bored and I wonder what everyone else is up to and oh bugger someones been talking to me for the last 2 minutes. oops. "i'm sorry could you repeat that?" On concerta I've found that it's still there but it has less control over my attention, meaning if i'm occupied then its at the back of my mind's priorities but when i'm bored it goes off again. HOWEVER, for some reason I feel no shame in singing now and when I'm bored and sick of my thoughts my mind tunes in to a random song and out my mouth it comes. Often not in tune. much to the amusement of my colleagues. Britney Spears hit me baby one more time was today for some nonsensical reason :3 tl:dr Yes but I sing it too.

This is brilliant as it describes my brain too. Concerta helps massively. Sometimes I miss the daydreaming, imagining situations and playing them out in my head. I wake up with the most random sings in my head and that's me for the day with a playlist in my head.
Glad to hear it's not just me!

I used to get them a lot before sleep. One thing my meds has worked on (still forgetful, dreamy and time management incompetent during the day.)
I still get the 'racing images' (almost real quality images of stuff i have been doing when I close my eyes), before sleep if I have been on the PC Gaming a lot. I try the technique of aiming my mind at a blue sky and racing upwards. Sometimes it works.

i used to get the images a lot, id remember conversations id had with people, replay them with the images in my mind over and over. Rarely, I still get this since being on Concerta, but not as much as before. It is a welcome respite
