Our lovely son has dropped out of uni and now living at home. Full of recriminations and bitterness over being bullied by his brother in childhood and our parenting not being good enough, his hurt and anger now turning more and more violent, smashing up the house, and we live in fear and terror of what he will do next. Yesterday he smashed our white goods up and spat at his father when we suggested he should move out. Not knowing where to go for support and help. Any advice at all? He will not get therapy or a job. We are loving supportive and eager to help him succeed.

Call the police! From there it maybe easier to get him to listen or piss him off enough to move out.
I do not Envy your position it can be awful having mental issues but it's just as bad being there for someone with them.
Hope it works out for all of you.
