Hello.
Around 2 months ago I was diagnosed with ADHD. We decided to start on methylphendate. I was started on 18mg, then to 36mg, which felt good, but not totally there, and then 54mg. I was on Concerta, but it got changed to xaggatin 54mg.
Here is my problem: When I take the medication I feel great, but this is where is gets weird. Once the medication wears off my nose gets almost irriated, and slowly it becomes red. The redness will stay there for around 2 hours and it will eventually go back to its normal colour. However, it's worrying me a little. I also feel like during the crash my heartrate increases quite a lot too. Why is it doing this to my nose? The reason it makes me think it is my ADHD medication is because it's a 12 hour extended release, and it's around that time when the med is wearing off that my nose gets irriattetd and goes red. I will be seeing my doctor on the 28th, and hope to get it resolved, or move onto another medication with less side-effects or adverse reactions.
Anyone experienced anything similar once their medication wears off?
Kind Regards
