I wonder if we can get something like this on a UK prescription and not the extortionate branded Adderall®? Looking at the prices in the US its actually around the same price of Amfexa in this country.

You could, in theory, but it's not manufactured or licenced in Europe, so it would have to be imported and, as it's a controlled drug,
import taxes are likely to be very high. I researched into why we can't get Adderall a while ago and this is what I found:
Shire, who own the Patent for Adderall, didn't pay to License it in the UK before the Patent expired in 2009.
It costs a lot to License a medicine and the UK/Europe wasn't a big enough market pre-2009 to make it worth their while.
Even if Shire Licensed Adderall now, they wouldn't make much money because once Licensed and approved by NHS it would allow generics to be made
and prescribed in the UK too as NHS approve the chemical make-up, not brand and the Patent has expired.
Shire has the Patent and Licence for Elvanse, so it's making money from that.
Adderall and generic equivalents can be prescribed, but it's expensive as it is produced in America and import taxes are high, so NHS are unlikely to do so.
Some private specialists will prescibe on a private prescription, but it's unlikely a GP will be allowed to take over shared care, due to cost.

Yes, but they’d have to get it licenced in order to supply it, which would cost them a lot
and they wouldn’t be able to make their money back as the patent’s expired and as soon as it’s licenced
anyone else could start making it . . .it’s market forces. . .
This is why natural remedies have to be sold as supplements. . .they can’t be patented unless significantly
changed or synthesised and it cost so much to do all the testing required to get licenced that it’s not financially viable.
