Ecotec are currently looking for young people aged 17-25 with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or who have an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) to take part in a research project. The Big Lottery Fund has asked ECOTEC, an independent research organisation, to look at the views and experiences of young people with ADHD or an ASC in the transition to adulthood. This will help Big Lottery Fund to understand how they might be able to assist young people in the future. As a thank you for your time you will receive £25. Ecotec are keen to hear from young people who have had help or support from health or other services as well as people who have not had as much help or support. The research will be completely confidential and you will not be identified within the results. You can take part by telephone, face to face or by email or skype/MSN. Contact details are on the attached flyer Attachments:

I am Filling this in i am a parent of a young man who was diagnosed with ADHD wen he was 7 yrs old. he was on medication and when he 1st took the medication his behaviour totaly changed for the better within 2 days. due to me becoming ill, the ritalan stopped. and my sons transition in to becoming an adult, has not and is not smooth hasnt even been bumpy, it is becoming a serious matter. we dnt think that the medication is a mirical drug, myself an my son have worked hard with the madication.however he frmbers the change in himself and the medication gives us an 2nd minute window to work with. Now i have to start fighting to get his ritalin restored.people say he is 19 let him get on with it, he is still my son, and if they had a child who had a disability would they stop providing care 4 their child when that child became 19. I dont think they would. YET AGAIN THE INVISIBLE DISABILITY causes problems. wont give up on my son as easily as he gives up on himself. He wants volunteer for the reseach program. He wants to try and understand ADHD for himself.
