A student at the University of Birmingham is conducting research into parent & child perceptions of ADHD and is looking for participants. Here is some information about it:
I have attached a flyer from the University which has more information as well as contact details. The following 2 posts will contain attachments with consent forms (one for adults and another for children and their parents).
The purpose of this research is to explore Parent and Child Perceptions of ADHD. We want to discover whether there is a link between the way parents and children perceive ADHD, the way they deal with it, and how this affects them. We are interested in what it is like for parents and young people to live with a diagnosis of ADHD so you will be asked multiple choice questions. This will also be a chance to contribute to the understanding of ADHD which may help yourselves or others in the future. We are interested in all types of ADHD (e.g. ADD, mainly hyperactive type).
All completed and received questionnaire sets will be receive an entry into a prize draw for retail vouchers of either £50; £20; £10; £5.
Participation requires filling in a set of questionnaires which should about 35 minutes for adults and 25 minutes for children/young people.
Adults must be parents or main carers of children (any age under 18) with ADHD diagnosed by a health care professional.
Children must have ADHD diagnosed by a health care professional. They will need to have an English reading age of at least 11 years to complete the questionnaires. The upper age limit is 17.
