Hi are there any people out there that want to help make some rigorous scientific studies on the effects of various forms of meditation / mindfulness / biofeedback on adult ADHD?
There aren't nearly enough studies. Most of the evidence is currently anecdotal
WE should do this right, take it into our own hands, for free, for the good of our community.
I want to explore any ways possible to make it easier for the ADD brain to meditate, relax and stabilise. Would love to help others find how much it can benefit them and generally evaluate its efficacy in our community
Lets get a massive list of skilled people, and research assistance (advice, financial and otherwise), as many meditation teachers of any serious persuasion as possible, and set something up. I am 100% up for doing this for free, and I have been studying it really hard in so many directions and practicing many techniques.
It helps me with stability and clarity so much. I can't wait to share what I have learnt so far and find out other peoples experiences and tips
It is extra difficult, but possible also extra rewarding for the ADHD brain to learn to meditate, so lets work on evolving techniques that match our needs and then scientifically evaluate them
My skillset is currently limited to boat loads of research into various techniques. I really need help with this. Who out there has been involved in the making scientific studies before?
