Lol! Just remembered... When I was a kid, I used to change my clothes 5 or 6 times a day. I would just wear them for a while, then want to change into some other outfit. I wasn't fashion conscious, never have been, I just changed my mind or something, I dunno. Also, I've always had a THING about how things feel on me. Even if clothing feels ever so slightly odd or uncomfortable, or there's a scratchy bit or something, I can't tolerate it and need to change and will prob never wear it again. I will keep trying to wear it, but can't... Until I eventually steel myself to throw it out or give it away (which is a challenge in itself, as I'm a bit of a hoarder). Any1 else have these issues?

yup. completely. and my daughter is the same. if there is something "wrong" with the clothes (tight baggy itchy sharp seams labels restrictive strangly dusty sweaty pinchy) it affects my mood completely and i Just Can't Manage.
then i Hate them and want to throw them away (which usually means give to a charity shop). i am learning to sometimes put them in a drawer so that if i have had one bad day with clothes I don't write them off for ever, but give myself time to forget about the experience (out of sight=out of mind)then i might forgive them and try again.
clothes have to Work before i can think about whether i like the colour/style. (work = not doing one of the above)
all of which makes it quite exhausting to think about shopping for clothes. which is one reason why i like charity shops - such an eclectic mix, lots to get distracted/excited by, no biggie if i make a mistake
anyone else relate?

Wonderful the way you put that... Really made me giggle in an "I-can-so-relate-to-that" way... Perfectly worded!

Hehe, forgiving your clothes. I can't bear some labels at the back and bed sheets have to be flat, no rumpling. I get completely distracted if my socks are between my toes, or if my shoes are tied too loose or too tight. These could be an auty trait, too, I guess. The feel of tights or nylon school skirts makes me squirm - even thinking about them does.
I am very easily distracted by physical sensations; little itches, the way the chair feels under my bottom, random urges to stretch my shoulders and neck etc etc.

That time my mom got a different softener (by accident) and I yelled at her and then re-did my laundry, still kinda makes me mad to think about even though it wasn't her fault...I don't let her do my laundry because it makes me uncomfortable not know what she does with them/treats them (a little weird but yeah...) Clothes that aren't "right" makes me frustrated and mad. Mostly if they are tight, have tags or moves around it makes me really uncomfortable and even causes tics sometimes.
