So I started to go back to the gym 3 weeks ago and I just can't seem to do it at a proper pace, I've lifted more weights then before, run faster and longer and taken harder group classes. On Thursday I puked after doing a kettlebell class. I just become manic and can't slow down which greatly worries my friends, they think I might have an eating disorder or a workout addiction. Yesterday I didn't work out, but then I couldn't sleep, I need to keep going.
Anyone got any pointers how to pace myself or how to not get my friends worried. I try not to talk to them about calories and how much I'm actually working out, but as you know the brain to mouth filter is often missing.

I often find when I first start back im over the top, I get a bit slower as I get more bored. Avoiding caffine on the day you go might help, and trying calmer classes like yoga or pilates.

I just got back in the gym since starting meds , i dont do meds untill my workout is done as i dont belive there needed so on days i go gym i skip that dose and do them with my after workout food.
When i did workout on meds i was rush rush rush and so worrued about my heart rate ( even tho told by many its safe ) it just gave me anxiety.
But i find no meds a good workout sets me up nice for the day.
And i never workout after 11.30am ( bodybuilding) in the evening i might do long dog walk thats it.
