Welcome sam. I'm sorry to hear you are feeling this way, but glad you are here. Hopefully some online company will be a support in the first instance. Have you talked to your GP about how you are feeling and/or have you been referred to your local mental health team for help?

Hello and thankyou, I first spoken to my GP about a year ago who put it down to depression went on citalopram no change still had major mood swings and feeling low thrunot being able to complete even simple household tasks and not being good enough for my family so spoke to gp again who suggested seretine moods felt better a little but still had piles everywere piles of clothes paper unpaid bills so after my sons diagnosis of ADHD and much research went to doc with my own evidence of myself having ADHD so I got to see a mental health nurse on Saturday gone and hes sending me to an ADHD specialist thank god

Well that's great that you have finally been referred to a specialist. I was treated for depression for a long time initially, too. And I identify totally with the clutter and problems of disorganisation and unpaid bills. On another thread today, some of us were talking about a really good online NHS Scotland course called "Living Life To The Full" to help deal with anxiety and depression, starting with baby steps. One really helpful thing for me, when I was utterly overwhelmed, was to take my GP's advice to go for a short walk every day for a week. Is that something you could manage? Even a walk round the garden or a quick trip round the block when it's quiet out might help a bit to clear your mind and give you a sense of achievement. Here is the website. It is a bit old-fashioned in style and you have to sign up to access the course, but the content is very good. www.llttf.com
