I can understand where your coming from, but you should know everyone is not out to get you, it's more like most people don't get you, and that is their issue. You have to deal with your anxiety, and start small...create yourself a script for these situations...." so where do you live now?", I'm moving around at the moment, such is life (smile)(if possible i.e not standing at a queue etc), say hello to xxxx for me take care bye", and make your escape or something like that.

Hell No!!! I would just like to have had the ability to understand my body earlier and then I may not have been left to develop a list of other health conditions because of how people perceived me,
I.e, I had a GP say she thought I was one of 'those' patients, she never explained what she meant not did she apologize for her bias against me delaying further investigation into whether I had arthritis, removing any chance for medical intervention based on the usual progression of the primary condition.
My ADHD fueled personality gave me fantastic opportunities, understanding it better so that I could have built a future and security for myself would have been the key.

Yeah, you have shared your experience in your way and that is all I am really asking. Thank you for your humour, advice and support.
Will most definitely keep you posted. today I have made @ least two moves forward...
contacted somewhereto.com and just need a 25 or under to complete the form to get a free space to hold the support and advice sessions.
Next spoke to a guy at an adult education for learning conditions who will hook me up with his friend who has ADHD and dyslexia..
it's a start......ps called like 5 churches and no-one will be charitable for free space .. but that is okay
I'll just keep on trucking!! ;D

Hiya Jdog
Thank you for your post. I want to provide dramatherapy for ADHD Individuals, starting with the women. So I have no choice, to work in the NHS and have access to the less wealthy people I need to be on the radar.
I wish I didn't, I have lost more time the I care to think of, the system moves too fast when I am slow and too slow when I am fast.
I have decided to do my degree module by module long distance, while I work on my executive functions. Which is will be part of the main skills I hope to pass on. ;D ;D ;D ;D

I just wanted to put this out there, I seem to keep reading the same story over and over about how bright ADHD individuals are continuously stopping short of certification. It seems that society has it's priorities wrong when we have more than 50 ways to hold water (hey it's either a cup or a bottle type) yet significantly fewer ways to deliver education (that is recognized) so that those who go on to H.E are not left out of pocket and out of sorts. I take from Dr Brown more than Barkley but they both have important points to make about the condition. Barkley on motivation and Brown on emotional effect on bright pupils. I just would like to know how did others find the additional support services in college or uni? Were they helpful and how? I am speaking as an adult without behavioral problems, learning disability or mental health issues just a regular A-B-C type personality with ADHD. LOL In my head I am A, ADHD makes me B, the people around me make me C. So, I'm either going to have a heart attack first then get cancer or vice versa. Anyhoo point is this condition keeps some from shining in the mainstream, which is the only financially viable option that is on offer. (not so much in HE anymore!) I found through research there are a number of initiatives that could be in place to benefit all the students focusing on executive functions. between my coach(es), the ALS and my lecturers not one person has given me training around that and I personally think that is a great problem. I don't need therapy I need a formula. Something I can always use and adapt. The Doctors are imbeciles, and the coaches are well meaning. I can talk for England and they let me I need practical applications I have been referred to bloody addiss over 20 times I'm sure, that is not appropriate. Okay end of rant...please let my know how you have fared there is a charity being put together campaigning for better understanding of the ADHD learner post-18, if you think I am wrong let me know why?

I am looking to start my own comic book line, I can't draw though however seem to be some fine applications to help with that I just have to adapt and customize.

You will not find any help right now, in my opinion that is you have to go all Erin brockovich because they are trying to cover their own butts.
I was left needing hip replacements because my GP wouldn't listen because of my undiagnosed ADHD symptoms, by which she was judging me.
I know this because she said to my face 'I thought you were one of those patients'
during a mediation and nothing happened, no apology, no compensation, no medical advice, 2 years later and I am just getting some crap CBT from the maudsley after being forced onto Concerta over adderall, which I could not afford to keep up.
Tried to go legal but without the concistency of the drugs of strategy I remained really diorganised in my dealings with the solicitors and communications just broke down.
