I am prescribed 50mg Vyvanse for ADHD, and have been for around a month now. Originally I was on a 30mg dose, however I found it wore off very quickly and would leave me feeling very lethargic by about 11pm if I took my daily dose at around 7/8am. I have experienced very few side effects while on this medication (much better than the previously prescribed Strattera), however recently I have been frequently woken up over the past few weeks due to sweating. I don't feel warm or anything, Its just like a cold sweat. I was wondering if anyone had experienced something similar while on vyvanse or knew of it being a side effect? I have looked on google and there are very few results regarding this sweating at night. During the day I could get very clammy hands also, but I am aware that this is common, the night sweat not so much seemingly. On 50 mg I'm finding I get quite tired at around 2pm, which is less than useful when I have my a-levels in a month, and after school I need to be able to focus on my work. I would be very hesitant to increase my dose, however i feel as though it may be necessary until I have finished school to allow my sustained effort. AT the minute when i get in from school I struggle very much to concentrate, and also feel very low. I am concerned however that 70mg or something similar would simply worsen the sweating issues and was hoping I could get some advice on the matter? Is it possible that the vyvanse is causing the night sweating, and any recommendations regarding whether or not I increase my dose?
Edit: I have my final consultation with my current psychiatrist tomorrow, as i am being referred back into the NHS and therefore this is the final opportunity I will have to make any modifications with the psychiatrist for my prescription before my A-levels.
