Our son is 22 and diagnosed with ADHD, he went to uni from college, but the uni was a long way from home and he struggled with everything from looking after himself to attending the lectures on timer, if at all and meeting deadlines. He wasn't diagnosed at this stage, he failed the end if year exams and was kicked out. He is academically able, but just can't orgasnise himself, keep focused and admit when there are problems. he managed to get accepted onto a different course at a uni nearer home, so he could come home moire and we could visit more. After some more difficulties, one of h is lecturers agreed to communicate with us, so that we could give our son more help and support. We had always thought he was dyspraxic, but following an assessment organised by uni, it was decided that wasn't the csuse of his issues. We went to our g.p. and he was then assessed and diagnised with ADHD. He got some extra help and support and whilst not easy and with some setbacks, he managed to graduate. He wanted to do a Masters and we agreed, he went to a different uni, not far away, as his old uni didn't do the course he wanted. We thought things were going ok, but we have now found out that he has failed two exams and he has started to go back to his old ways at his first uni of not turning up and failing to hand work in. He is likely to be kicked off the course, when we ask him why, he's not going in, he can't give a coherent answer, and as for the work not submitted, he says that he just hadn't finished it. He hasn't told us the truth about how he's been doing until it came out yesterday. We don't know what to do and how to help him. I'm so worried. Any advice would be useful.
