Eating and dietary behaviours in children with Tourette’s syndrome, compared to children with ADHD and children with ASD.
Researchers at the University of Hertfordshire are looking for parents of children with ADHD aged between 7-16 years. If you choose to take part, you will complete a series of online questionnaires about your child’s eating behaviour, food intake and your mealtime behaviour. The study will take approximately 25 minutes and you can complete it in the comfort of your own home. The aim of this study is to address eating and dietary behaviour in children with Tourette’s syndrome focusing on eating behaviours, food intake and parental feeding practices. This will be compared to both eating and feeding practices in children with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and children without a diagnosis of either Tourettes or ADHD or ASD. As Tourettes syndrome and ADHD are highly likely to co-occur, it is important to research similarities and differences of eating behaviours across these disorders. This study will improve our knowledge in this area, which could potentially help in the development of tailored feeding interventions in the future.
The information gained from your answers will be used in statistical analysis, but all information gained will be kept strictly anonymous and confidential.
