Hello
New to the board. I have a family member that has ADHD who has been in and out of hospital over the past 12 months following numerous suicide attempts.
Can you tell me whether there are any therapy/training programmes available for people like this?
NHS not being very proactive (so far).
He is currently on his way to a mental health hospital but will also probably be released by the end of the day.
He is 36 years old.
Also, is there any way a nearest relative can have him sectioned? Just to get him somewhere safe where people can properly assess/help him?
Any help hugely appreciated.

I hope you get some help with this.
As an aside, I once spoke to a lady who had experienced similar and she said there was a possibility that suicidal thoughts may be associated with feelings of futility and a lack of a sense of belonging.
I've no idea if it will help but it's possible he may find solace in some sort of peer / shared interest / shared deficit group.
All the best.
