I am self employed and would love to be able to organise my work better, and possibly have somewhere where I could put all my work tasks and due dates, that hopefully I could go back to daily to make sure I was still on track and didn't forget things (haha, I know). I think the key for me is to make sure it's something simple to use, hopefully online so I can't lose it and that's so useful I do it daily. Maybe this is a fictional thing, I just wondered if anyone else had a task organiser they found works for them? Better than a piece of paper that will get lost I've previously tried using google sheets (basically excel online), but I just find I force myself to make the list, then stop looking at it after a few days. Thanks for any tips

I'm not sure anything helps bar having someone else direct your attention.
Whiteboards, timers, apps, lists. It works today but tomorrow it's just another part of the furniture.
Let me know if you find something, though.

Annie if you want to organise your work better you can try looking into macro's. You can set them up on your computer to run at specific times for reminders ie opens up word and writes on screen.
You can also use email clients like thunderbird to help use email rules for filing specific emails into different inboxes and create alerts when emails come in. So for example one clients email goes into an email inbox and you know that when you read that email you can then mark it off as a task etc. You can then get addons for this like which can add functionality with calendars etc. You can then also create email templates to save time writing them such as Purchase Order or Sales invoices. You can also create task reminders attached to emails and % complete for them etc
