Does anyone know what happens if you move to another part of the UK in relation to prescriptions, continuing care?
I'm planning to move to Edinburgh, ie NHS Scotland, which has different systems and budgets to NHS England. I was diagnosed a year ago in London and have been on Elvanse for seven months - big difference, can't imagine having to go back now. But it's only prescribed as a 28-day supply and I need to find out about continuity of care/prescription renewal.
I emailed scottishadhdcoalition.org three weeks ago but no reply. If anyone has any idea where I can find out what I'd need to do to make the transition smooth, I'd really appreciate it. My med review has been with a different psych every time after initial diagnosis and two followups, and the last one I didn't feel relaxed enough with him to ask and next review not for four months.
Has anyone else moved to another NHS authority after diagnosis? Experience/pointers gratefully received.

I live in Edinburgh, I could pass you the number for my local MH team that could possibly advise you, or point you to the best people to speak to.

I think Scotland is subsidised by England in regards to NHS funds? I would say go private until you get a good doctor you can trust with disclosing your diagnosis.
