Without this turning into a massive life story post, current lockdown has made an already difficult living situation now impossible and I'm being kicked out of the family home due to verbal and emotional abuse. I've recently applied to the council to see what help I can get, and have been assigned a case worker who is currently looking at finding me a place within the private rented sector.
My reason for posting is that I've been asked to fill in a medical questinare and am struggling to put into words exactly how my Adhd affects me on a daily basis. I'm currently on 40mg of elvanse, but due to depression I haven't been taking this for a little while and have fallen back into a cycle of poor executive functioning. I'm worried and becoming exhausted in where to be looking for help or if they'll just ignore my adhd when looking for accommodation.from previous experience in shared accommodation I did not cope very well, and often my symptoms got worse due to the environment.
Getting back to the point of this post, has anyone been in this situation or know someone who has? I'm not very experienced in dealing with councils or housing issues.

Peach pie What strikes me from what you’re saying is that you are struggling to share with other people and when you say that you are struggling to put into words what you’re experiencing, I am looking at what you said “the lockdown situation has made a difficult situation impossible due to verbal and emotional abuse in my family home “so you can use this as a base and perhaps you can reflect and elaborate on your experience in terms of exactly what it is that makes it difficult for you to share with other people as well as emphasising of course that you suffer from ADHD.
I also just want to know you to know that I really get where you’re coming from. I also have ADHD in a different format to you, but I assure you no less challenging. Can I also suggest that you check the NHS website about the classic symptoms of ADHD and bring them into your application. I would suggest thinking about some of the most difficult experiences you have had as a result of your ADHD and writing those down on your form in terms of how it affects you.
