Hello, was just hoping that someone could help. I was diagnosed with ADHD around the age of 10 by Barry Bourne. I’m at the stage where I’m feeling like I can’t cope as a result of ADHD so I want to seek some help but I don’t know how to move forward.
Do I just go to my GP and tell them that I was diagnosed as a child or do I need an adult diagnosis? And do I need some evidence of this? My mum has moved house a few times over the years so helpfully doesn’t have the papers or my school reports anymore so there isn’t any supporting documentation and I’m unsure what to do.
Apart from receiving some extra help with exams it never really impacted my life too much when I was growing up so I’ve never thought about it too much but now I’m in my 20s and working full time I’m starting to struggle but not sure how best to access help.
Sorry if this seems like a silly question!

go 2 your gp and tell them you have ADHD and that you were diagnosed as a child and see where it goes from there
