has anyone used psychiatry-uk.com/fees/ ? they look really well priced but I think the trick there is that that assessment charge is only for an hours work. It says that if the appointment goes over the hour then patient will have to pay more - so this way it could easily double the budget Any other recommendations for ADHD assessment? I am 44 yrs old and I just found out that ADHD is bang on what I fit the bill of. I am going to go the medicine route for the first 3-6 months to try and see if I can get my life in order and maybe achieve things rather than just continue seeking non-stop

ok, I searched and can see there are several mentions. But could not see if an hour is enough update: the next appointment for an ADHD appointment with psychiatry-uk is 12 months away (ie. in October 2022)

I was lucky and got through to Psychiatry U.K. through my GP so it was on the NHS, but I got diagnosed a little over a year ago and I think the waiting lists have exploded since then. At the time I was diagnosed, the appointment fitted into the hour, partly because they get you to fill in a detailed questionnaire beforehand which they use for reference during the appointment, and I wrote a lot in there.

Newly diagnosed at 53. Trying to figure out what's going on.

The same as above. I was diagnosed this week. The psychiatrist had a very good idea of my symptoms from the advance forms particularly those completed by my wife. I waited about 10 months for my appointment but they seem to be inundated even more now. I wasn't in too much of a rush though as I being diagnosed at 53, figured what's a few more months either way.
Apart from the delay they seem on the ball and the guy I spoke to was excellent and friendly.
