My brother (38 years old) was diagnosed with ADHD about a year ago and started on Vyvanse. His behaviour has progressively worsened (though his focus has improved) and all his interpersonal relationships have broken down - his relationship broke down, he's fallen out with all his friends and now he's cut off his family.
We don't know what to do - I strongly believe that the medication has effected a complete personality change - before he was very sweet, affectionate and empathetic. Now he is cold, narcissistic and extremely argumentative.
Any advice would be very much appreciated.

When you start on the tablets, you kinda have to re-learn how to live.
You notice for the first time how some people never clapped.
You realise for the first time how your life could have been entirely different if someone had figured out you had ADHD way before now.
You go through all five stages of grief.
You revel in newly found novelty.
You test new boundaries.
For some of us, the tablets wear off way too quick, shared care is a joke and it's no longer possible to conceal your tiredness and frustration because THIS IS NOW YOUR TIME.
