I don't necessarily get depressed in winter although my mood is fairly low atm. My last spell was in late spring/summer I have tried effexor and it didn't help me really...it was hell coming off them though in terms of withdrawal symptoms.

Unless it's snowing, then in the winter I get really stressed and angry and down. I want to hide in my duvet alot too, and like today, I've not even had a shower or got out my shorts and tee which I wear to bed. I'm naughty I know. I asked my psychologist about the moods and the weather and he said it can be summat called Seasonal Affected Depression, the SAD thing. I didn't talk to him about it the last time though, as I forgot, but it was the end of a session before the last time that we quickly spoke about it.
I'm trying ot get hold of his team today to get a general e-mail address coz I need to talk to him about a few more things, but I cant be bothered to re-write the letter I wrote coz I missed lots of things out of it, lol.
One of the things I notice more though with weather is that when it's nice and sunny and clear, I get more happier. MOstly I must be down coz the weather here is shite though aint it, so its easier for me to notice my mood when its sunnya nd nice.

Lol, I hadn't even had a wash when I posted that post. I have showered now though as I was getting chilly and needed to get changed. I wont go out the flat either if I haven't had a shower, and I was going to go to the shops, but I got too engrossed on FarmTown over on FB, lol.

Used to do Effexor, just for depression. When I first took it I noticed that I felt a lot more focussed, although at this point I knew nothing about ADHD. Took it for some time but I started to feel a bit artificial on it so gradually reduced quantity. Strange effect occurred when went from 75 to 35 (from memory, which is bad at the best of times) and I think there was also a difference in going from modified release to straight pill. Felt strange, couldn't get time off work to do get an appointment, so just stopped altogether. Bad times.

Effexor is making me feel nauseous and sleepy all day, a bit confused and agitated, i've read some terrible things about withdrawal symptons. I was on zoloft for 1.5 yrs, but dr thought i should change as its effect has lessened, have been down and avoiding people, slight social anxiety, bad pms, u name it!! ive got it!! anyway, I wonder if there is anything positive about effexor::)does it help adhd symptoms?
