It scares the crap out of me to think if I ever move to a location covered by a different PCT I could easily have my diagnosis ignored and treatment refused on the grounds of ignorance. If I ever get offered a job in a different place I may have to check out the areas ADHD policies and attitudes before accepting... Not what you want in life at all.
Its not that long either before GP's gain responsibility for much of the service commissioning on the NHS. Many many GP's don't believe ADHD can affect adults... Where will this leave us...

I agree. Sadly, as can be seen from so many posts on this forum, it's a fairly common story.

Wow. Just got off the phone from the ADHD specialist I saw. He's concluded that the original dx was in fact correct. I'm 'officially' ADDer again.
