Assessed by a paramedic who even referred to me as 'he' at one point. Clearly no understanding of adhd and to add Insult to injury, declared that mental health probably ok as not with the local mh team. Clearly missed, or has never heard of the Maudsley. To say I'm mad is an understatement. Anyone had experience with atos appeals.

From what I've heard, most people get turned down and the next step is
mandatory reconsideration before appeal. .
There's a thread on this. .I'll tag you.

Not good . .no points for anything. .
I don't know if I'm going to appeal. .I've got enough stress complaining to the CCG.

I'm just putting in for mandatory consideration. I will fight this. I too got no points. The report was appalling. Talk about money for old rope!

Well I didn't finish writing my update and I think it's vanished, so . . . Mandatory reconsideration, nada. Still zero points. The helpful information in the letter, on where to download advice and form for appeal is bogus, even after phoning up (nice lady phoned for me) and getting the 'actual' reference number of the form/pack(? ) (SSCS1) It's still nowhere to be found . . . hahaha just had another try with google, rather than the search 'box' on the website . . . found it!!! but it's still took a phone call to get the number of the form. I'd never have found it with the information in the letter, and in fact going to the website, like they said to, it cannot be found . . . I'm once again 'pie in the sky'wise considering the possibility of self sufficincy/living on air, but even if that was possible, I'd still have to find enough money to pay the full whack of council tax every year. Desperately trying to figure out some way of making a living is making me depressed, and the more desperate I get the worse it gets. And to cap it all I (stupidly?) had a serious try at reading the letter in detail . . . one of the things it said is that they do not think that the capable for work decision will have any adverse effect on my mental well being . . . Obviously I needed to put a lot more detail into my telling the assessor that I can't cope with stress . . .

It's the way the whole system is designed to be dis-abling rather than enabling. I was awarded no points at all and I remain of the opinion that the assessor had no idea about adhd and the impact it has on day to day life. I agree with you about the nasty tendency to dismiss invisible disability.
Im still waiting for a tribunal date....
