I do alot of PC Gaming, but the couple minutes before a game are terrible, so boring, nothing to do. oh i know, ill go onto a youtube video, do some internet stuff. Then i realize half a hour later that i started a game and i forgot about it. I then repeat the process of starting another game and forgetting about it. God dammit im doing i just did it again haha Who else does this?

Probably a similar but different problem in that I get serious hyperfocus with gaming.. (it's also my main procrastination/avoidance thing..)
I put in 120 hours plus on FFXV when it came out and forgot about it less than a month later... >.<

I've noticed I do similar with games that have a protracted match making process. Luckily, my main game has no such issue and once I'm in, I'm usually hooked to the detriment of my stomach and/or bladder. I've actually started to wonder if I stop breathing, intermittently, whilst gaming? I realise how bizarre that sounds but I'm sometimes red faced and out of breath... from sitting in a chair. Concentrating 100%, I guess

I've played Championship Manager 01/02 pretty solidly since it came out, lol. And Civilisation 4. What a game.

Late to the party, but Witcher 3 is what you need.

...Championship Manager 01/02... Showing your age there dude! CM 97/98 CM/FM are basically built for ADHD-ers. There's so much depth and stuff to get sucked into and it's so easy to spend hours and hours playing. I think last year's version was the first where I didn't crack over 400 hours and I consider myself a fairly light player (I watch/read far more FM content creator stuff on various blogs or YouTube than play the game). As for the OP, I have both issues. I can either get completely sucked in and hyperfocus on a game and before I know it I haven't eaten (heck, haven't moved), miss out on sleep etc. However if I somehow get pulled away from a game and then get super-busy, when I come back it takes me an age to remember and figure out what I was doing before I stopped playing. I think I may have to start taking notes every time I finish a gaming session.

I been hooked on a browser based game for about 5years....thats my procrastinating problem. been playing for about 5 years i probably log onto it at least ten times a day either from my phone or pc...and can spend up to 5 hours per day on it..i did start a few playstation games but i seem never to finish any of them. i really need to live on a mountain with no power or signal for a bit..probably only way i get clean!

Hahaha...
Cm01/02 I downloaded updates for years and years after they stopped supporting it.
I recently started playing fm17/18 on my phone to stop my wotblitz addiction that was a couple years in the making.
Bit of a mistake I like how the latest fm17/18 is similar to cm01/02 the mobile game is anyway.. I went and got addicted to that not good for procrastination problems at all!!
They have a in-game editor on it and Luckily I managed to kerb my gameplay time buy ruining the game making my club rich and have best players.
Also not back on wotblitz yet either so it sort of worked.
Anyway this age of youtube, and decent story games and other distractions is a procrastinators nightmare i find myself watching backdated videos on peoples youtube channels who I can't stand in the first place.
Lolol
My tip stay away..
Don't get me started on call of duty modern warfare the orignal.

Hyperfocus is the whole reason I stay away from MMOs. My current digital crack is Crusader Kings 2. Went into it thinking it would be all about war and conquest. Turns out its basically feudal dating sim. I; 've spent hours managing the love lives of my vassals for the best political outcome for myself. Games basically a soap opera generator.
