Hi Jon. I only clicked on your thread coz of the title as it's similar to analogy I say abouty behaviour, especially the destructive side of it. As I like my behaviour to a car crash! I can see I'm about to crash but instead of pressing the break, I accelerate! Then after I've crashed "oh! Why did I do that!" I'm kinda the opposite to you, I'd prefer to work for people, be told what to do and when to do it! Give me structure and routine! Plus I suppose I'm a follower not a leader!

I think one of the fascinating things about our condition is the variations on the theme that we all throw up. I've basically always been pretty well unemployable - but don't think that because I've always been an entrepreneur that my ADHD hasn't put me straight into a number of really big car crashes - I've lost huge amounts of money through not paying attention to the details - and failing to finish things. I seem to be incapable of doing something the easy way - I always make it more elaborate, add more complication, get over involved in minor matters and fail to stay focused on the main task.... I'm a master at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory!

I'm a master at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory! Lol! That's pretty much me as well and completely sums me up!
That's probably the best way I've heard to explain my ridiculous behaviour!
