I haven't (yet) got ADHD meds but when I am on something, I don't mean just for psych problems but for anything I get prescribed, I'm always really really crap at taking the damn things. Even if they're doing me good. Because, you know, I have ADHD.
So how the hell does anyone remember to take their pills regularly? Also, losing prescriptions. I think I've lost one I was given recently. I guess the idea is that if the meds work, you won't lose or forget things so much, and so on. Is that it?

I've always been crap at taking anything regular, whether it's daily vitamins or prescribed meds. Last year I needed to do it properly and I had to set an alarm on my phone with beep and text display "tablets". I set it for 8pm so it was regular every day and this seemed like a good time when I wouldn't be rushing about late for work or supposed to be doing other important things. The trickier part was making sure I had them with me every day without fail. Oh and writing the days on every single tab in the blister pack with a sharpie pen so I could see whether or not I actually had taken it.

Excellent advice from eekoh, plus I also have a shoulder bag specially for those things which I always need to take with me when I go anywhere. Mobile, kindle and emergency charger, notebook and pen, bank/credit card and purse with cash. My car and house key are firmly attached, as is my purse, and when taking any, my medication also lives in there. Anything else less regularly needed goes in a different bag, so that I am not constantly having to check that I have the basics when I go out.
