I got a diagnosis of ADHD combined type 3 weeks ago and was started on Elvanse 30mg to go up to 50mg after 2 weeks. I had a lot of Anxiety and mild low mood and a general sense of WTF is going on inside my head!
After 7 days I decided to try 50mg for one day to see if it made a difference and boy it really did! The anxiety vanished, my mood improved dramatically and i started to feel the fog lift from my head. 2 weeks of readjustment and things were really starting to improve. So 2 days ago of course being impulsive and impatient I tried 70mg or 75 by splitting a 50 and taking a 50.
The last 2 days have been like becoming a new human being. I have felt ultra calm and methodical in my work. Everything just flowed
I have to see my GP tomorrow who doing shared care with the psych. My question is can he titrate me up to 70mg or do I have to contact the psych and will he take a dim view that i titrated myself against his recomendations and even stop the prescription which would be crushing for me. Thanks if anyone can help me!

This might be too late . . .but your GP can only prescribe what your psych does. It would probably be best to get shared care at the current dose and discuss with psych about further titration (they shouldn't be surprised or judgemental that you tried a bit more)

Thanks for your reply! Yes I do have shared care so I will try to speak to psyche before appointment later.

Be careful. I was on 70mg Elvanse for a while. You will feel euphoric at first, especially since you didn't titrate properly.
This stuff is amazing for giving you energy but when you're effectively under it's influence all the time it's easy not to notice any negative effects it's having on you as a person or your body.
