Hey all My GP has just rejected my psychiatrists request to prescribe strattera under a shared care agreement as she says it is a 'red' medication.
Could anyone verify this and/or provide me with any information before I speak with her tomorrow? I'm particularly interested if anyone can provide me with the NHS Shared care guidelines for this medication as I'm struggling to find them.
All help appreciated..
Thanks

you are a hero! i searched the red amber green status and found this page - gmmmg.nhs.uk/html/rag_adult.php#displayright there is says atomoxetine is an amber medication! thank you so much, this is exactly the compelling evidence i was searching for! no guarantees my doctor will change her mind, but at least i'm now equipped with the facts!

Your post hasn’t shown up because you’re a guest and posts have to be approved by admin (although they can be seen on the mobile site. . .don’t ask me why) I’m glad you found what you’re looking for and hope it helps you with your GP
