How do these adhd researchers decide that we have slow responses?
My badminton & tennis team mates say I have exceptionally fast reactions!
What about all the athletes with adhd? Do they have slow reactions? I don't think so!!
How have they tested it? Is it a boring computer test?
And how dare they use that 2 say we'll react slower to a hazard when driving!
I owe my life 2 my fast reactions!
Is it another example of big drug companies funding research?
Does anyone else consider their reactions 2 be faster than their peers?

Where did you read that we have slower reaction times? In all likelihood, we will have faster than average reaction times for shiny things but significantly higher reaction times for anything that doesn't register on the fun goggles When I first discovered this site, I was getting 180 - 200ms quite consistently which may suggest my reaction times are a smidge faster than average. I may be talking out of my ass again but the reason I believe we're quicker is that we've potentially adapted to use electrical over chemical signalling in some parts of the brain. It would explain the lower latency (good) and the low throughput (bad) that we all, perhaps, experience. Tablets, presumably, force chemical signalling to be the default for a few hours which may be why they have such a pronounced effect on our behaviour? A more obvious and academically palatable explanation may be that our dopamine is too quickly converted to adrenaline which by itself is known to heighten awareness / reaction times. Either way, I wouldn't give it another thought!

Google reaction times and adhd @boost!
You will find evidence for us having high reaction times or variable reaction times
but you'll struggle to find anything about us having low reaction times!

I don't trust anyone bar myself where ADHD is concerned Most people still think it's a made up condition!
