I cant be the only person here with sleep issues........
I often dose off and wake up at (say) 0300 in a panic. I feel I need to talk to someone. Have tried samaritans but it is an awful wait (10 mins typical). Sometimes you get someone who listens ..but sometimes someone who wants ot fire questions at me.. Writing this having been in bed for about an hour.
Could put music on, but then I have to turn it off. Tried a "sleep timer" but find that I notice it abruptly stopping...
Any thoughts.

The only time I have trouble sleeping is when I have time off
I strongly recommend tonnes of exercise u've gotta tire yourself out
Just like u would with a kid like after a day of activities u say boy they'll sleep well 2nite
And they do

I sometimes go to bed a bit later than I should but I don't think I've ever woken in a panic, luckily.
Are you having night terrors, perhaps? Sleep apnoea, possibly?
"If in doubt, flat out!"
Like speedy said, try and knacker yourself out.

Are you taking ADHD meds?
I ask b/c if so, there is a very real need to get properly dosed and scheduled. If I don't get to sleep while I have meds in my system, I can easily be awake until 4 am. Conversely, if I take my meds too late in the day, I will, likewise, be up very late.

Before ADHD meds i had sleep issues, however when i am extremely stressed I cannot sleep. Find the reason you can't sleep by what is the panic about. If it is stress write down what you are worried about.
