Hi,
I have been on Ritalin extended release for two months and switched to Concerta some weeks ago. As both drugs are based on methylphenidate both the doctor and I assumed that the switch should go smooth. But I experience anxiety, inner tensed feeling when breathing and a feeling of not getting enough air, and actually a bit stressed, so it is not the same good effect as on Ritalin.
My question is if anyone else has experienced similar rise in anxiety on Concerta but not on Ritalin, and what may be the reason, cause or solution.
On Ritalin Extended release the dose was 40 mg in the morning, 30 mg in the early afternoon. On Concerta I started on 54 mg morning and about 36 in early afternoon.
regards

Could be dose but also brands do differ slightly. I am in delmosart but had concerta at some point when I first titrated. I find different settings affect me. Great if I’m solo but not good in company. I was worse on elvanse but I took time off for the titration and then had other stuff going on and needed to work so not had a chance to revisit with docs
