Hello all Do any parents recall their kids as tots being really clumbsy and constantly falling and just not having any fear or scense of fear for their own safety. As my younger 2.5 yr old is the above and wondering if i could manage to get her to take fish oil or somthing wether it might help

Hi safensound,
Falling over all the time is quite normal at 2.5. Why do you think they fall? Are they falling over nothing or not seeing obsticles in the way? There could be many medical reasons for constant tripping or it could be nothing. At this age as I say it is pretty normal. Have you been to your GP or contacted your social worker. Why do you think fish oil may help? I give it to my son with ASD and it really improved his comprehension. From my basic understanding omega 3 basically provides a better lubricant between the axons in the brain, therefore providing a better passage for impulses in the brain to take. i guess it could work and I don't think there is any reason your child shoulddn't take it but I would at least check with a pharmacist just in case. Hope that helps! Take care

Hi Safensound, if she looks like she is drunk that sounds pretty bad. Why would you be interested in asking your gp? I don't know if I would class a GP as social services. They should be using judgement based on medical knowledge. I am not saying they have all the answers but if there is a chance there is a medical problem with your child surely that would be the best place to. Sorry if I'm sounding a bit bossy but I I know from experience that if there is a medical problem with a child the sooner it us dealt with the better. Take care
