I have plenty of questions, when I remember to ask them lol. For depression: I was on citalopram 20mg for 2 months, 40mg for 2 months, prozac (active chem:fluoxetine) 20mg for 2 months. During all of that time, I felt 0 points difference.
If anti-depressants helped you a bit then.....
How long did it take?
What drug?
What dose?
Did you stop taking them only to relapse?
If your depression symptoms went away, was the demon AD/HD still clear to note?
Anything else to note?
Please reply.

Hi andy,
before i had ever considered the possibility of ADHD, or even heard of it to be honest, i assumed my inability to get motivated to do anything was due to depression, so i went down that route with medication.
First i took prozac (fluoxetine) for a couple of months. It was pretty good, and it really helped with my attention span and focus, although i didn't realise at the time that was what my problem was. The down side was that i seemed to lose my inhibitions and became very impulse and risk taking. I eventually asked the doc to take me off them as i was concerned about my impulsive behaviour, but if i was taking them now i doubt i'd be as concerned about it, it rarely went beyond hijinks and mischievousness.
I tried citalopram too, it works for depression in the sense that you still have the same problems but you just don't feel that bothered about it. It didn't have any effect on my ADHD symptoms, i just didn't care as much about them.
Also they made my eyes turn blue, although before you ask my eyes are greeny-blue anyway, they just seemed to make them closer to the blue side than the green. Weird i know.

Thanks lemonsnake,
The ssri's did nothing for me, which is rather concerning. I am usually quite good at checking my thoughts and being aware of what is affecting me, but, I did not perceive any difference with them. 'tis strange indeed.. When I go back to the doc, I will ask if he wants to try a higher dose as I am still trying to rule out causes/symptoms etc.
