Hello, recently diagnosed in late 40s. Always been clearly neurodivergent but only been able to put a name to it months ago.
I have been taking Ritalin for a couple of months, and am so much happier. Pretty much most of the time.
Can anyone help me to understand if this is Ritalin-induced euphoria, or am I just finding out that I have lived my whole life at a baseline low on the happiness index, and all I am now experiencing is what it feels like to be at a baseline that is more normal.

Dunno why but my post came out blank! What I wrote was something like:
I've been obviously neurodivergent all my life but recently diagnosed with ADHD. Not what I expected (concealed by also gifted I suppose by some measures).
I started taking Ritalin a couple of months ago and I feel some much happier all the time. It's bothering me though, is this a drug-induced euphoria? Or am I just finding out what normal happiness baseline is supposed to feel like?
