How's this for irony?
I did tons of research, printed off articles about ADHD, ADHD and Bipolar, meds, the NICE guidlelines, lists of symptoms, highlighted all the ones I matched, stapled them all nice and neatly, put them in an envelope and brought them home - only to leave them on the train!
How typical! Now I have to start from scratch and get everything this evening to take with me to the pdoc tomorrow.

Doesn't matter anyway as my appointment was cancelled. For the third time. The NHS mental health services are rubbish. It's been a nightmare from Day 1. Never seeing the same person because they keep leaving, seeing locum after locum, appointments being cancelled, 10-week waiting times minimum (and this was when I was pretty unstable), 10-minute sessions... the list goes on. But I saw my GP last night and she said she'd refer me to Maudsley if necessary so I have written her a letter asking her to do so.

Razzler
what a nightmare, i hope the letter does the trick and your GP makes the referral, its not fair to keep getting bounced around like that, so frustrating for you

It is frustrating. They've done this to me right from the start, which was awful when I wasn't stablised on meds, moods swinging all over the place, panic attacks, etc. Now it's OK, because I'm stable... but it still makes me cross!
Fingers crossed for the GP.
