No ideas for help wanted to ask is it ok if somebody joins the site from my dial up? Differernt PC but they staying here for a bit and we only have dial up here.
Then I wanted to ask about planetdave he was there for a bit with a 99 on the end of his name and then he wasnt and maybe I imagined it buit was he and if he was why was he.
oh yeah sorry got carried away so anyway can my friend join on the same dialupo as me or will it be difficult|?

Your username can be varied easily, all you have to do is go into your profile and edit it. The '99' I used for a few days was for comic effect - the thread about weight was populated by usernames with numbers eg andy12345 and madscot125 and I did that to take the michael slightly. Do you think I would have tolerated someone trying to usurp my username?

Probably the best people to ask about this is your Internet Service Provider (ISP), because your friend's computer may have to be configured to connect with your dial up account.

LOL, planetdave, if you are going to be hilarious, at least tell me so I notice. Generally, you will find me on many sites throughout the world as either andy12345 or andy 123456 or longer sequences until I can actually log on lol without having to come up with a clever name. I am far too delaying to ever come up with a name that I could remember so it's just the old you know what.................

I don't think it is a problem. The site remembers who you are by putting a cookie on your PC. So a different PC wouldn't know about your user name - even if the IP address is the same.
