I did sign up to a chatsite once.......got bored of it, but my username was wafflemonster........although my memory fails me as to why. Feel free to tell me if I go on too much, I will live So, apparently people with AD/HD, depression(reactive, atypical, major etc etc) Borderline PD and so on (take your picks) suffer terribly from mood instability/reactivity. In some cases, it can take me about 4 hours to 1 day or so to recover from some events, although I can still dwell on things for some time. So, whereas some people can take the knocks of life over a long time before getting really frustrated, I just seem to be a victim of the moment..and I sometimes feel that if too many "events" occurred at once, I would probably self-terminate. At the "moment" nothing makes sense, does it? However, the moment is sometimes helpful as it helps to avoid long term disputes/fueding with people as I just can't be bothered to continue with it.. Now, is that depression apathy, adhd apathy or plain old depression or adhd or both? Any clarifications would be good. Actually, the same goes for fun, I am a victim of the moment with puppy like tendencies, but personal insecurities will always stop me from certain situations. Anyway, end of blather. Please ADD.

What's mood reactivity?
But I think I know what you mean, if someone says something to me which bothers me it'll play on my mind for days, and after drinking sometimes I'll feel down for days.
By the "moment" do you mean reacting impulsively?

I'd interpret that as 'affective disorder', which is quite common with ADHDers.

Andy,
I know what you mean I find most people tooo0! complicated if i like someone then thats it. I find most people like comealions one day you are there best mate other days they got no time for you i feel people pick up that we have a lot going on and they think they can just piss us about as they feal with no consequence.
I can see on my meds how some of my traits are open to abuse and am starting to change my behavour like wise. In sort i guess i am to canded and honest for my own good.

Yes Planetdave, Sometimes I still wonder if I have true ad/hd. I am telling myself to go for referral, otherwise nothing changes.
That's why I am usually trying to understand what is and what is not ad/hd. That's part of the problem itself as I am chronically procrastinating and don't like to take the nhs time up with my problems, which is the worst thing to do, of course.
______ I have nothing to hide lol, I lost all pride when I first went to the doc last year and said "I have a problem"
