having been here a little while now i feel a bit silly asking this, but i just noticed that my account status is not activated.
whats the difference between activated and not activated?
i am just curious cos it doesnt seem to have made a difference to me posting or anything like that.

Oi andy!.. don't say that to Boo, she mind be of a delicate disposition!
-a mental health forum is no place for existentialism!
Don't let him worry you Boo, you do exist... if in doubt, just remind yourself -"cogito ergo sum!" ;D

Hi boo, when you first set up your account, did you receive an email asking you to click on a link. I think (but I'm not positive--PB will know more) that when it says Account Status Not Activated, it means that you did not click on a link in a confirmation email. Since we're not requiring members to be approved before they can join the forum, it doesn't matter if accounts are not activated because I believe you will still have all the access that others have. When the forum was set up, we tried to make it as easy as possible to join, because most of us have our own problems with multi-step processess (is that spelt correctly; it looks wrong )

hehe, yes matt thats exactly what i meant it to say roland, i found the email and activated interestingly on the email it says something about activating the account allows me to receive emails from the website, so i guess it may have something to do with mailing lists and opting in or out of them.
