Today while I was surfing the net looking for places to post the petition and for people to email the petition to, I came across the following two booklets from the Department of Health regarding funding mental health services (written for NHS Admins) and to my cynical mind they look ominously process oriented rather than people oriented:
The first one is called "Practical Guide to Preparing for Mental Health Payment by Results"
www.dh.gov.uk/prod_consum_dh/groups/dh_digitalassets/documents/digitalasset/dh_100815.pdf
and the second one is called "Clustering Booklet: for use in mental health payment by results evaluation work".

The first booklet explains the second
It seems each one of us is going to be allocated to a cluster based upon someone's clinical judgement, but when I looked at the clustering booklet, it seemed to me that we could easily end up in the wrong group especially since there seems to be an awful lot of ignorance amongst psychiatrists and GPs around adult ADHD.
Read and enjoy

The chosen currency units for mental health are clusters based on service user characteristics. These clusters (there are currently 21, but the number may change as they are subjected to further refinement and testing) can then be used in contracting arrangements, so that a commissioner will be paying for x people in cluster 1, x people in cluster 2 and so on. The 21 existing clusters are designed to cover working age adult and older people’s care.
