Does this sound like adhd, do things get better with medication and support? How long does it take?
Restlessness Racing mind poor organsiation flitting from one thing to another easily distracted racing round at 100 miles hour poor focus speaking fast constantly interputting people low self esteem fustration anger fear of things happening like to know answers to things straight away hate waiting

-yes, it sounds like ADHD (if you've been like this your whole life)
-yes, things get better with medication
-yes, things get better with support, and when you learn more about ADHD, you'll be able to support yourself better too!
-how long it takes varies from place to place, from what i've read the average is around 6 months, from first asking the GP for an ADHD assessment, to getting diagnosed.
sometimes it's quicker than that, but it can also take longer!
-so prepare yourself for the long haul, and don't let the frustration get to you! you'll get there in the end! ;D

It seems that there are autonomous coping strategies as well, so you sometimes have to think in details and wonder if you avoid doing somethings (procrastination) because it causes you too much strain/mental stress/negative thoughts. etc etc or if it is just that you are rubbish at them lol.
The maudsley clinic backlog is apparently about 16 weeks, ONCE funding is agreed.
