I was talking to some one about how I suffer with anxiety in public places like many of us have discussed before and they showed me an article about social anxiety disorder. I would say its one trait many of us suffer with and thought it might help to mention and the guy who had runs workshops in here is his site: www.leadinglight.org.uk/if you type it in to google loads of links come up so maybe this is somethink worth looking into for others to as i know i hate feeling so awkward at partys etc. ;D also 28 min vid on discribing:

ive not watched the vid yet, but will. i started CBT for social anxiety just before i came across adhd, my CBT guy was great and helped me get through a really tough week by listning to me and encouraging me to seek dx for adhd. the sessions stopped tho because he didnt feel qualified to help me and knew nothing about ad/hd. i hardly remembered to do the homework set and if i did i dint remeber to take it with me one of the tasks was keeping a diary for a week, needless to say i didnt keep it up for longer than the 1st day ive found my ipod helps enourmously for when im out and walking about but obviously not so much when having to actually speak to people

One of my recent threads contained a link about forced dopamine reduction. They did not take blood tests or hormone level tests (such as Testosterone for men, which is a shame, but the end result of the low dopamine in the thread below, was quite familiar to me. Obviously, without blood tests, who knows what else is dropped in response to the low dopamine.......?? aadduk.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1896Read and learn. Easier said than done, but just bite into the article, don't let it go.....

Oh and "that feeling" of over awareness is terrible. It has held me back so much and still does, but then the over feelings don't help either.
