My child had a "multi-cultural day" at school today. One of the speakers was on Buddhism. He said "Ive been dealing with adhd since I was a child and I didnt want mediaction". He dealt with it by getting into buddhism - doing mantras to aid concentration etc ... how interesting is that. Well, my adhd child found it very interesting??? Thumbs up to the school? Red x

A guy at martial arts one told me that he thought Buddhism was the superior religion. He didn't tell me exactly why he thought that but I remember him telling me about the meditation being a brilliant thing to do to clear the mind.

Hell, I was interested, but a little too zenned out to comment No, I have tried zen etc. I think aspects of it are great when I'm going well and in a good routine, but I can't use it at all if I slip up and my head starts going into overdrive. I can't use it to slow me down when I am sped up, but bit by bit I can try and live in the moment and it gets me at times and I feel it. I have tried Tai Chi though with a proper Chinese master who has ended up here in the Black Country for some bizarre reason, and that didn't work for me at all. My thoughts kept on spinning on. But then perhaps you can never say that until you have tried it and achieved some actual knowledge of it. Perhaps I didn't try it long enough.
