Thanks to this site and other orgs who’s names I will have to look and spell right I had a cool pre Christmas treat in London, I had a great time in London going to the galleries and meeting everyone at the event that I was so late for sorry about that. It was just what I needed and getting back into art has done wonders for my self esteem. ;D
So good to meet people of the site and new people and all the people that helped thank you all. I will post my picture ASAP but just got back and very tired think I need to get on my toes more as I was wrecked from walking all day hence my late arrival.

Had a great time and good to meet everyone. Only problem is that those PR women look so adorable, especially the ones carrying the trays of wine who come up to you with the tray and do a face that says "If you don't have another glass of wine my life will have no purpose..." And I felt so sorry for them I felt I had to oblige ( 9 or 10 times). People thinking "His ADHD is so bad the way he rambles on" I was actually rambling on because I was pissed as a fart ;D

Lmao. Sure they aren't being polite ? Sounds like the whole thing was quite something tho! I live in the culturally bankrupt backwoods. Might make more of effort to get out of here more often, you guys are making me quite jealous -swanning around and living it up in galleries on a friday afternoon ;D I could do with a bit of that!

Alan
That was boss we have got to sort some more meet ups, events, maybee in the summer we should aim to do something then? Someone said it was a shame there wasnt more people off site their as we were like exstatic to finaly get eye contact and share story's its just a shame more people were not able to come. Need more positive events like that was a great boost making me also wonder what am doing in this one horse town last time I was in London people said I was talented but just shrugged it off but was a bit young to do anythink about.

here is my picture Dr from the maudsley who has got a name that I cant remeber said we should continue to show the exhibition at other venues which sounds like a good idea. I also think it would be good if other people wanted to enter pieces for the future or maybe I could add another piece for the future, build on it make it bigger, brighter, bolder help publicise also I would like to do some larger scale. I agree Picture My Life was amazing and so great to meet you and everyone else ! Now I have faces for some names on here ! Congrats to all who entered and the Dr whose name you cant remember is Prof Asherson ! What a lovely man he is too ! Thought they could have paid for all of the exhibited to come to the event not just the winners .........no offence to them ! Good idea to make a booklet of all the entries and to exhibit them in the Institute or anywhere else for that matter ! Maybe on the tube as was suggested by whats his name !sorry not so good with names myself ! HELP..................

Congratulations to all of you!! And I'm really glad you enjoyed the event. And I'm very sorry and that I wasn't there; I would have liked to meet you, but I'm not been well the past few days. My neighbour insists I've had swine flu, and she might be right because I was given a box of chocolates on Wednesday, and they're still untouched But the sun's shining today and I'm definitely feeling better. And that's enough about me. Congratulations to everyone!!!

I feel rather guilty about this. Roland did all the hard work but was felled by a dread lurgy at the last minute and I rather jamily stepped in at the last minute, without so much as ironing my shirt, made a short speech, ate a huge number of tiny but delicious things, looked at art, chatted to artists and others and drank far more wine than I should have. I even got a lift home!
Anyway, it was great to meet you all, and thanks to those that were there and especially to those that put in effort but couldn't be there.
BTW Roland and PinkB - Prof A was complimentary about the web site, so well done there.
A

I was intrested to talk to a guy who mentioned that I said I was glad to find graphics and art again after finding ADHD. He was talking to me about art therapy and how you can use it as a bridge to get over bad events in your life, when I find his name I will post as I cant find and just done massive tidy up. In general it was just great to gab to people with simmillar issues whilst becomming totaly smashed at the same time LOL. ;D

Sorry to be so late to this - have just got round to opening up the attachment!!
safensound this picture is really good and it's a brilliant idea to have the exhibition travel around the country. Maybe it should start by going round the existing Adult Adhd clinics.
Any chance of having all the paintings put on to an attachment?

Is there any adhd clinics in Birmingham? will exhibition be going there? as it is next largest city? why does London have all luck, Birmingham never mentioned in anything. Its like media ignores us, like we are the city somewhere in Midlands. Sorry sounds ungratful. Just Birmingham never gets lookin.

I would post others but its not my work so have to look into I photo'd all but one I missed and havent been able to get hold of as it was a slippery gelly fish that I missed and heard was good but my scaty ways missed it was trying to do a site but been more busy than I thought over christmas.
I think a page on here or a link to a another site for picture my life would be good? and add more and build it up to publicise ADHD and help peoples self esteam and maybe even launch some artys. Its got me looking into art therapy and looking at an angle of art and MH I would have never even thought of. ;D
Also if like meggies fella your into art look at the lastest post vid I posted on Picture my life comp thread ;D

Ooops!
Came on to reply to you safensound and then got side tracked - making the tea, feeding the dog, reading a book etc and forgot I had neither posted or signed out - well you'll all understand!!
It would be great to see the exhibition in its' entirity and I do think their is a real opportunity out there for Art therapy. Both my children are very creative and have gone down the creative arts career's. Whether or not they can make a living out of it remains to be seen - what it does do for them is give them a medium to express their ideas.
Art therapy is one way in which a lot more people could get their expressive ideas out there - somewhere I've seen a website of Art therapist,s - will try and find it.
In the meantime meggie99 - why is your Fine Artist partner not still using his skills?

Cause he is too lazy and prefers spending his time on his ps3 (only half joking). Safe let your creativity take you too a better place.
