So heres to the new me, its gonna be very very tough, but gonna finally take responsibility, re finances diet excercise job etc. So i last impulsive spend then the credit cards get burnt at mid night, all i have in the house is healthy food, and plenty excercise stuff, dvds etc and trampoline. Anyway here goes nothing, im scared but more determined than ever. Good look everyone lets make this decade a peaceful happy sucessful one. Decade Meggie? Blooming 'ell! isn't just a new year! Tis a new decade as well !!! I'd not thought of it that way... Think I'm going to let my 'shine' out of its safe box and dust it down for the coming decade. (Think might have started this process last night ;D inbetween getting suitable tipsy and dancing the whole night through) Anyhow, I think you are pretty amazing for summoning up such determination. I'm kinda of scared too of whether I can be the person I want to be this year or not. But am dead thankful for all the virtual hand-holding' on here Happy new decade

Definately ive stayed mainly upbeat for 2 days now, even though had a bit of hassle yesterday to sort. Its definately gonna be a fresh start its about time i learnt from my mistakes once and for all. Although i got extremely drunk last night and am feeling extremely sick today as a result. Well i supppose it one way of relaxing cause i cant be arsed to move from the settee much today.

Meggie thats a pretty exhaustive list you got going on there, ive got it all going on too lol Feels good to have that burst of energy and enthusiasm doesnt it....long may it live!
Couple of things ive done that might help you too. Ive cut pics out of magazines of beaches and clothes i like and stuck them all inside every cupboard in my kitchen. I think the main reasons i fail to lose weight are that 1, I forget im on a diet and 2, i forget all the reasons i want to lose weight. The pics help as a reminder of the reasons i want to lose weight for when 'i couldnt give a toss'. Ive also got pics of the sort of food i SHOULD be eating, i live on bread, crisps and curry. Ive made a collage of the sun shining, beaches, countryside and fruit and veg lol. I hate it when the sun comes out and i have to ditch the cover ups. this year i want to ENJOY the sun, not shake my fist at it.
Ive been following a healthy diet for a few days now with no slip ups and put more enery and movement into any l jobs ive managed to trouble my arse to do. Already ive lost the 'carb bloat' still got 3 stone to lose but feeling very determined to rid myself of at least one thing that makes me miserable
Good luck to you meggie and everyone else trying to get into a g string for summer :-)

Hi Meggie - your positivity is contagious - after reading your post I feel full of determination to make some positive changes this year too.
I think ADHD people are often all or nothing kinda people. I feel like there's no point in me just saying, I'm going to stop leaving my wet towels on the floor this year. Instead it's like I say, I'm gonna be super-organised, super-healthy, super-happy etc.
And then everyone reminds you to be realistic, and keep making small goals.
Well, here's to being everything we want to be - hooray for us all x x
