What difference does it make? Worse, because there's no hope of learning good habits from someone unaffected, or better, because the chaos seems normal?
Most of my childhood was spent with my ADHD granny, who somehow kept busy all day but still presided over chaos. I think my dad was NT, but he kept out of the house as much as possible, occasionally coming in to help with periodic blitzing before visitors. He did teach me how to wire a plug, though (although the colours of live and neutral never stuck) and how to use sharp-bladed implements safely (I think only 3 stitches for a cooking knife incident isn't a bad lifetime record, considering).
Have others felt that having a NT parent helped, or that having ADHD all around made them feel 'normal'?
